Academic degrees
Ph.D. in Ecology at Instituto de Ecología A.C. (INECOL, Mexico; 2016-2020). My thesis was focused on canopy ants where I investigated aspects related to resource and habitat use, and vertical stratification of ant-plant co-occurrence networks in a Mexican tropical rain forest (Los Tuxtlas). My co-advisors were Wesley Dáttilo (Dáttilo's Lab, Mexico) and Maurice Leponce (Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, Belgium).
Master degree in ecology at Universidade Estadual de Montes Claros (UNIMONTES), Brazil (2013-2015). Community structure of canopy ants at early and late successional stages, in a Brazilian tropical dry forest (Mata Seca State Park). My co-advisors were Frederico Neves (UFMG, Brazil) and Sérvio Ribeiro (UFOP, Brazil).

Bachelor in Biological Sciences at Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (2006-2012). Vertical stratification of ants at distinct successional stages in a Brazilian cloud forest. My co-advisors were Sérvio Ribeiro (UFOP, Brazil) and Renata Campos (Univale, Brazil). |
Additional courses
Pantanal Ecology Field Course (2014): The course dynamics provide immersion in field research and training focused on all stages of the scientific research – formulation of questions and hypotheses, sampling design, data collection and analysis, manuscript writing, and oral presentation; promoted by Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul. |
Brazilian Ant Course (2013): The course provides knowledge in mirmecology: biological, morphological and ecological characteristics of ants and sampling methods. |
